Rustic Roots Seaside Blush Cabin (ADA)

We loved staying at Rustic Roots. Being so close to the water was perfect. We saw sea otters feeding and playing. We also saw a seal and bald eagles. The cabin is small but has all the necessities needed. The only complaint we have is the lack of good lighting in the bathroom but I assume that will be taken care of with all the refurbishing of the cabins. One other thing that we would’ve liked was a hummingbird feeder. It was nice to be within walking distance to Miller’s Landing. We ate there several times. Overall we had a great stay at Rustic Roots. We will definitely stay there again if we make it back to Seward.

The cabin is very private, with a gorgeous view of the water. The space is comfortable and has all the creature comforts you could ask for. We had a nice fire in the evening as well. We will definitely be back!

If the aim of a bespoke cabin on a semi-remote Alaskan coast is to inspire introspection, creativity and contemplation, then the Seaside Blush Cabin hits the mark in a profound way. With windows that are a few degrees of vision from being fully panoramic, to the charming interior decor, I was mesmerized from the moment I walked in. The hosts were gracious, thoughtful and accommodating, checked in pre/mid-trip to ensure comfort. Unless I end up moving to the coast myself (very likely) I will be coming back to stay in this cabin mid-Alaskan winter, every year for the rest of my life.
