Salted Roots Red Door A-Frame Cabin

Salted roots is one of the most magical places I have ever stayed!! As a local, I have booked multiple weekends out there and every time it feels like home away from home! The crew is communicative and accommodating, and the A frames nestled in the woods across from the ocean and snow capped mountains, is actual magic. Amazing, 11 outa 10, ill be back soon ;)

Hello! We are (Anchorage) local and have stayed with you multiple times, including getting married on Millers Landing 5 years ago and Salted Roots will forever hold such a special place in our hearts. However there were are few things that that caught my attention this time - the sink is very loose on the left in the bathroom - a bathroom light is out - the handle is coming off the fridge door - the sheets were stained (black stuff?) - the pull out couch is very uncomfortable with an upside down type of feel and uncomfy mattress - my one year old found a large white pill right under the bed in the large bedroom, thankfully it was caught and not ingested. As always, thanks for a magical stay and I hope you all have an amazing summer, Thanks!

Adorable cabin with attention to detail. The beach area with Adirondack chairs was lovely!! We loved our stay!!

The space is lovely and highlights include: The shower room! Comfortable beds, great open living space, pellet stove was awesome. Fun local items like the coffee, chocolate and hot sauce all were delicious! To continue the experience you are trying to provide some opportunities would be to have a microwave for convenient warm ups for leftovers, 2 more outdoor chairs, higher quality towels, quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We really did enjoy our stay on top of everything mentioned enjoyed having a candle to light at night and our favorite family game rumicube was an awesome surprise!

Our family stayed at Salted and Rustic roots May of 2025. The hosts were beyond helpful before we even came to stay! They helped us decide on activities to do in the area and were very responsive for all questions. They helped us with booking the days we needed for the amount of family members we had. We stayed in the red door A-frame cabin and two of the seaside cabins. They were clean and so cozy. The kids (6&7) loved the loft in the A-frame cabin. We had everything we needed. The hosts were again helpful and responsive throughout our whole stay. We never felt we were being watched or intruded upon. The views are out of this world. It was VERY hard to leave. We absolutely loved our stay here and hope we can come back. 100% recommend!
