Salted Roots Purple Door Cottage with Ocean Views

Absolutely loved the space and location. The cabin had everything a person could need. Both physically and mentally! Talk about the epitome of peaceful. The bed was very comfortable, and my friend ended up sleeping on the couch vs the pull out cabinet bed, because she found the couch so comfy (and she is a short queen…so length wasn’t an issue). The view of the bay was phenomenal and the location to the beach is literally 100 feet. Every day, we were there three days and two nights, we saw otters (a floatilla of 18 one time), sea lions, various native birds, and we even saw a whale one morning! But, ladies and gentlemen, if you are a fan of luxury…the bathroom is FABULOUS! I love baths and the tub and heated floors made my stay over the top amazing. My friend and I are already planning a return visit.

Absolutely the most beautiful staycation I have ever taken!! Such gorgeous views, steps away from the ocean for a beautiful sunrise stroll, sauna and a large bath at night with a lovely fire going- every amenity imaginable plus more, hosts are absolutely kind and generous and leave little Alaska treats to welcome you in such style. Plus pet friendly, so I could bring my favorite fur baby along. 1000% recommend staying here for your trip. You will love your time there!!

Salted Roots in Seward is such a special place, the ambiance and amenities make it a perfect getaway! The units are stocked with all essentials and have everything we needed. The sauna and fire pit are perfect ways to unwind and the access to the beach is perfect. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Every detail at Salted Roots is intentional and well thought out. The cabin was the perfect place to unwind, while watching bald eagles, mallards, and otters in the bay. The bed was super comfortable, the bathtub perfect, and the kitchen immediately made you feel at ease. I cannot recommend Salted Roots enough for your basecamp in Seward! I just wish I had thought to stay longer.
