Amazing stay!
We had the best night at Salted Roots! We stayed in the Yellow Cabin with the bus, and it was such a unique and cozy experience. Everything was incredibly clean, and we absolutely loved the thoughtful decor. It felt like a perfect blend of comfort, luxury and style. The special Alaskan treat left for us was such a nice touch.
Having the beach and views just across the street was a dream, such a peaceful spot to relax and take in the scenery. The amenities were awesome, and the overall luxury vibe made the whole stay feel extra special. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a stylish, Alaskan getaway with all the right details! Well done!

A very unique setting, quiet and out of the busy town site. Access to the beach and walking trails. The wood fired sauna was a welcome comfort after a day of walking around Seward.
Being able to go up and down steep stairs is necessary to access the upstairs bedroom and the main “living room”.
The bathroom is outside the main living space but is not a problem at all.
This was my second time staying at Salted Roots and I’m looking forward to my next visit.

It was the little things
Not only was the yellow door bud cabin, so cute, clean, and unique, i appreciated all the details like the local artwork, the artisanal chocolate bar left for us, and the beds and pillows are extremely comfortable and nice. There were also patio games, books, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. They were very thorough in their consideration for what we would need for a stay. Highly recommend.

What an incredible weekend.
Booked the bus house for a weekend reset and cannot say enough good things about our experience. The “cabin” was immaculately clean. The bedding and mattresses were soft, high quality and beyond comfortable. The art and decor is simple, highlighting local artists and the gorgeous scenery that Seward has to offer. With 5 homes on the property, and every one of them booked, you still felt like you were in a private oasis. The wood fired sauna (use this, especially if it’s raining!!! It is absolutely worth the effort it takes to start it), private beach access, and host gifts were top tier (we ate the entire bottle of hot sauce in 3 days. No regrets)
Communication with the staff and owners was top tier, quick and friendly. And the water- omg best drinking water in the world. We filled our water bottles before we left. :)
The only “negative” for any non locals unaware of the long summer days is that you might want to bring a sleeping mask to help block some of that midnight sun. The large windows have coverings but the smaller windows are bare. We did not mind this at all being early risers. Also, note that the bathroom is separate from the house, but extremely well appointed, and we kind of loved the layout being separated.
This staycation was just want we wanted, and we cannot wait to come back in December for my birthday!

Great Stay Near Seward
Overall, I really loved this place. Lot's of little touches like great coffee, stylish decor, window seat for reading, etc. And the location is fantastic, it's a quick drive into town, but in the morning you can just walk along the beach and take in the mountains and Resurrection Bay. My only issue is that I stayed in the Winter in the Bus Stop house and the lower floor was cold, especially the floor. It seemed like maybe the bus wasn't insulated enough, because the more traditional upstairs was nice and toasty especially with the pellet stove. That said I'd stay here again and fully recommend it.
