Downtown 2 Bedroom Loft

Great place to stay Positive: Ideally located to catch the early morning train and to take advantage of the coastal trail. The condo was recently updated, clean and comfortable. The very friendly cleaning staff accommodated our request for an early check in, which was really helpful. Negative: The condo was very hot when we got there and we couldn't find a thermostat. The property manager offered to move us to another unit, but we just opened the windows. It wasn't a big deal, but the lack of a thermostat was strange.

We stopped in Anchorage overnight between rail journeys. Salted Roots was conveniently located just steps away from the station and downtown. The apartment was beautiful, clean, well maintained, comfortable, spacious, with great views, and everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood for a restful night. The staff were kind and helpful. I wish we had stayed longer.

We stayed at Salted Roots over Christmas this year, after an initial visit in September. We loved the 2 bedroom unit, so we booked it again because we like the extra space. Appreciated the ear plugs left by the host since the train is nearby. Had everything that we needed and felt safe. On-site parking is a plus, along with proximity to restaurants and shopping. If we visit Anchorage again, we won't stay anywhere but here.

Salted Roots Basecamp offered a lovely 2bdr loft which was perfect for our family’s stay on NYE. Great location with all the amenities. We have stayed at the other SR locations in Seward and were so stoked to finally get to experience the new Anchorage location. Best place to stay downtown!!
